Another structural component affected by outside forces is the mortar joint. Mortar joints in the exterior brick or stone surfaces need to be well-maintained in order to prevent structural damage. Melrose's Brick and Stone Pointing services are the solutions to those types of problems. To achieve the best results, we cut each joint to the required depth, then brush and thoroughly clean it. We then remove any loose or broken mortar and dust. Finally, all portions of the surface are then inspected and the joints are dampened, pointed and tooled to restore the surface to its original condition
