
In order to repair limestone, precast, granite, and marble in the most cost-effective way to prevent future decay, Melrose offers various remedies and systems involving the resetting and/or replacement of stone that is completely deteriorated. Whenever this type of extensive work is needed, exterior masonry is removed and new stone is anchored into place. This insures that the building will retain its architectural integrity, as well as adding to the stability of the surface and extending its life expectancy. Pinning and Anchoring of Exterior Stone In cases where stone panels, marble, limestone and other masonry become loose, because of its expertise, Melrose can offer the most efficient system to resolve the problem. For example, if your building is experiencing this type of damage from structural settlement, rust or corrosion of the original anchors, we will replace the deteriorated pins with new pins to anchor the stone back into position. The joint is then caulked or pointed back into its original condition.
